For wednesday afternoon 2 guided tours (14 h - 17 h 30) will be organized, with exchange of the groups at 15 h 45 at the entrance of the Jardin des Plantes (57 rue Cuvier) and the following two elements:
Scientific walk of the 5eme quartier
Guided tour through the streets of the quartier latin along the labs of famous chemists (Pasteur, Perrin, Ste-Claire Deville, the Curies) of the XIXth century and the discovery of radioactivity.
Guided by Mme G. Gablot (association 'Parcours des Sciences')
Visit of the "equivalents periodic table"
Visit of the former chemistry school of Edmond Frémy at the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle with historical samples of organic compounds extracted by ME Chevreul, and a rare table of equivalents, painted in 1871 - just NOT a periodic table.
