For Bus, metro, and RER inside Paris the same tickets can be used ("T+" tickets). They can be bought, by unit or by 10, in vending machine which can be found in every metro/RER station (in particular, there is one RER station just in front of the "Cité Internationale" main entrance. It is possible as well to by one ticket inside the bus.
During bus transport next stations are clearly announced on a electric board, and they are voice-anounced in the RER, so using public transport in Paris is quite comfortable even for non French-speaking foreigners.
