Dear colleagues,
We are organizing a workshop on "Current Topics in Theoretical Chemistry". The workshop will be held in Nha Trang (Vietnam) from 25-29th of August 2014.
Nowadays conferences become more and more specialized and thus more difficult to follow by non-specialists. The objectives of this conference are two fold. On the one hand, the diverse nature of the talks should stimulate interdisciplinary exchanges. On the other hand, it should provide a frame that will raise the interest of young people for modern, state of the art, developments of theoretical and computational chemistry.

Please note that registration includes the main fees associated with the conference (registration, meals and lodging). Within our second aim, grants for students will also be awarded. They will be announced through the above link in due time.
9 sessions of half a day each have been arranged, each organized by widely known experts on the field:
- High accuracy methods /Relativistic corrections(D. Mukherjee)
- Density functional theory (W. Yang)
- Frontiers in computation (K. Hirao)
- Reducing quantum complexity (G.E. Scuseria)
- Theoretical spectroscopy / Magnetism (T. Helgaker)
- Dynamics (D. Lauvergnat)
- Computational biochemistry / Solvation (D. Salahub)
- Material science/ Catalysis(C. Minot)
- Chemical concepts(R. Carbo-Dorca)
They have gathered together big representatives of each field to make sure a nice part of current topics in theoretical chemistry are covered.
